Head’s Welcome Message

We warmly welcome and thank you for your interest in Manor Primary School. Here every child is an individual and everyone is special. Our school offers a caring learning environment where all our children are encouraged to achieve success in a variety of ways and fulfill their own potential.

We are a friendly, welcoming, hard working and happy school where learning is challenging, exciting and fun. We believe that in order for a school to be successful it is important to develop a strong sense of partnership between the school and the family. Manor Primary School is a caring and inclusive community wherein we respect and support each other. Our core values of collaboration, creativity and independence underpin everything we do.

Alongside our exciting and varied curriculum we offer a wealth of extra-curricular activities to enhance and enrich your child’s time with us. Children are prepared for the rapidly changing world in which they live by learning and applying key skills so that, as they move through the school, they become increasingly more independent learners.

At Manor Primary School there will be many opportunities for children to make the best possible progress in their learning and attain high personal achievements. There will often be special events to enhance our exciting curriculum, for example: real life events, both historical and current day, are discussed, researched, re-enacted, and debated, bringing the curriculum to life and make learning fun for everyone.

Within each year group, children have opportunities to develop and share their talents, know how to keep themselves safe and healthy and understand their rights and responsibilities as a member of the wider community.  At Manor Primary School children are encouraged to have a voice and get involved with the running of the school. Before leaving our school, children are carefully prepared for their transition to Secondary School and are well equipped to embrace their future.

Success is something we celebrate, both academic and personal. This helps the children develop their self-confidence and self-esteem, which in turn encourages them to continue to do their very best. We hold a wide range of events throughout the year to which we invite parents to celebrate the achievements of the children.

I hope that the information on our website is useful to you and that you are able to find everything you need to know. Please do not hesitate to contact us if we can help in any way.

We look forward to working with you and your child to ensure that they achieve their very best.

Best wishes

Mrs Karen Davies
